Corner of my home
It has been a while since I posted a corner of my home; but, since our house is on the market, I want savor all the little things that I love about it until it sells.
Appreciate the small things that make it more than a house.
A home.
Our home.
Someday, when it is good and gone, I'll remember it fondly.
Our first home.
The first home we ever painted (loud, vibrant colors).
The first home I went nuts over hardware on my kitchen cabinets.
The first home we ever landscaped.
The first home where we brought our first born from the hospital, gave her her first bath, read her her first story.
The nursery will be the most difficult room to leave behind. To me, it is the prettiest, best room I've ever made. In our next home, it will be the first room painted and put together. (I promise, Lucia).
So here is a little corner of the aforementioned nursery.
The Runaway Bunny - One of my favorite childhood books that my mother read to me and that I now read to Lucia.
And the mama bunny says, "Wherever you go, I will find you."
And the home says, "Wherever you go, I will find you - you are only changing the shell of our house."

So cute! I love that book too! It is always sad to leave somewhere that you have made great memories. Just think of all the great memories you will get to make at your new home. Plus, it is kind of exciting to get to make a new house yours.
Love it! Truly one of the best books ever, and you are so right-- it isn't the house that matters, it's the people inside it. Family is what makes a house a home.
The best kind of memories, especially since this was your beautiful baby's first home!!
We love the same books :)
Why and where are you moving ma'am?
