With great purpose ...

My mission is to preserve memories and tiny moments that vanish into thin air so quickly.  

I write because I do not want to forget. 

I write because I want to share my joy. 

I started blogging at a little place called The Gray Area, circa 2006, after I married my husband, Mateo.
After the birth of our daughter, Lucia-belle -
(I hope you read her name with the same 
intent and grande Italian accent in which I typed it) -
my writing focus changed as she became
the center of my blogging universe.
(And all other universes at that).

This blog is for our daughter.
I like to think that she will someday cherish 
the words that I write.


This blog is for our family 
and friends that live far away,
so that you may have a glimpse of our lives
and share with us. 

This blog is for myself because I love it.

I am not trying to be a world-famous mommy 
blogger, the internet already has those ... 
and some good ones, I might add.

You may find that I occassionally ramble, 
rant or vent; however, I do not share 
all the nitty-gritty details of our lives 
or too much of our personal business because I believe some things must remain sacred. 

In addition to writing about my Lucia, 
I like to share 
things that make me happy, 
things I find inspiring, 
things about decorating and fashion,
books and other
odds and ends.


This is my place.
A journal of sorts.
A baby book too.
