Oh Monday

Why do you torture me so?

This morning was an especially difficult one,

especially after having my darling with me

for an entire week.

I keep missing her today;

not that I do not always miss her,

but today the feeling is more intense.

Oh little baby bug -

strapping you in your car seat

this morning was torture!

I wanted to stay in bed

and receive your cuddles.

At least now half the day is through
and we will soon play together.
